Go, Cass!!

During Christmas week, I got to drive by the Alma Mater and take a few pics.

Phil

The first batch were taken at position #1 on the map.

This is the back of the old CT.  It's mostly from the renovation after I graduated.

Here's the new building.  The street is Henry St, sort of.  As you can see in the bigger pic, it's fenced off, although the gates were open that day.

The football field.  Yes, a football field.

This is from position #2.  It's the SE corner of the new building.

Looking back along Henry St.

This is where the Hamilton bus used to let us off every morning.

This is looking S along 2nd St.  The first two floors of the old building are boarded up.

Looking N along 2nd St, toward Cass Park and the Masonic Temple.

The NE corner of Henry & 2nd is where we caught the northbound Hamilton after school.  In those days, there were several paid parking lots for students to park here.

Still at #2, we're looking N at the Masonic Temple, this time with a little zoom.

Looking SE from Henry & 2nd, we get a view of downtown Detroit.  When I was a student there were a few decrepit apartment buildings here.

This is the southerly view from point three, at 2nd and Ledyard, across from Cass Park.

Cass Park.

Same as above, with some zoom.
